Watch

I Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

I Thess. 5
BUT concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.Brethren, pray for us.Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read to all the holy brethren. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen

We’ve got to wake up. We are in a war. There are battles going on in the spiritual realm and we are continuing in our daily lives as if there is nothing happening. We watch our movies. We hang out. We read our books. We live our lives in comatose states lulled by the pleasures of this world. We walk around completely denying that there is something going on besides our own selfish lives.
Too consumed with “me, my, I”
“It’s my body.”
“It’s my time.”
“It’s my life.”
When we are in this mindset, we are completely unaware to the war taking place.
When we are in this mindset, our focus is on everything else but the Lord and His work.

Wake up from your slumber. Let go of the things that hold you back. Release them. Burn the bridges that you walk on between the world and God. You must choose who you will serve.

There isn’t much time. The Lord is going to send his fire to Tallahassee. There will be a great outpouring of His Spirit. Many will come and ask, “How can I be saved?” Is the church ready? Is the church ready? Is the church of Tallahassee ready? Are they prepared to reap the harvest. Jesus said the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.

Mat 9:37-38
Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few."Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Is the church ready? We might think we are ready, but we aren’t. Do we have the people IN PLACE to disciple the souls that will come into the church seeking God? Is the church itself discipled? Are the “Christians” already in the church disciples of Jesus Christ or are they in church to meet the status quo and get blessed? Are the workers in positions to just have a position, get volunteer hours, and look important, or are they willing to get their hands dirty with the brokenhearted and weary ones that will be the harvest? How committed are we, church? Have we become to caught up in our own agendas that we have forgotten the sole reason Jesus came to this earth – People?

There isn’t much time. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Wake up. Prepare. Get ready. Watch for you do not know the day or the hour. But we are supposed to be able to interpret the seasons. Listen. Watch. Look around you. Look at the signs of the times. Stand on the wall, and see what is coming. Watch.

Be sober. Be watchful. Stand. We are in a battle. Stand guard. The adversary wants to kill and destroy your life. No one is exempt. If you are not watchful, you will fall to temptation and destruction. Watch. Pray always. Stand guard.

Get ready.

What if Jesus meant what He said? - "If you love me..."

The thought occurred to me today.   What if Jesus meant what He said? He said a lot.   A whole lot. And if He is God, then we should listen to what He said. If He is our Lord, then we should listen to what He said. I want to go on a journey of exploring what He said.   He is the Word and He is God.   I think what He said is worth exploring and worth living by.   The first thing I want to look at is in John 14.   This will give the premise for the entire journey of seeking out what Jesus said.   Because if Jesus meant this… then the rest of what He said is VERY important. Jhn 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” Jhn 14:21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Jhn 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come ...

A thought

There are easy days. And then there are difficult days. This is my reassurance: God is constant and He is always faithful. “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” – 2 Timothy 2:13

Ezekiel 14:12-23

I read this passage last night. I have seen a verse or two about it... but the entirety of it gripped me when I read it. I had never thought about it as a principle. "When a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness..." Then I was blown away by the men God used as examples. Noah, Daniel, Job. Men whose lives have a tremendous impact on the end-time saints. To be the only ones delivered in your righteousness. What was it like to watch an entire culture that God was not pleased with and see his judgment poured out accordingly. Righteous men - Noah, Daniel, Job - who stood, even when they stood alone. And yes, all three of those men, stood in their righteousness alone. They all faced scoffing and hatred of them. There are lessons in all of these men's lives. God judges nations. He judges lands that sin against the Lord in persistent unfaithfulness. But there are righteous ones in the midst of judgment. Eze 14:12-23 The word of the LORD came again to me...
